How Long Between Stops?
Rough riding times you can plan around (without traffic surprises):
- Plaça de Catalunya → Sagrada Família (Red): ~20 minutes
- Sagrada Família → beaches/Port Olímpic (Red): ~25 minutes
- Port Vell → Montjuïc viewpoints (Red): ~20 minutes
- Plaça de Catalunya → Park Güell (Blue): ~30 minutes
- Park Güell → Camp Nou (Blue): ~35 minutes

A One-Day Schedule That Works
Field-tested plan using a 24-hour ticket and the actual frequencies:
- 9:00 — board the Red route at Plaça de Catalunya; empty top deck, cool air
- 9:20–11:00 — hop off at the Sagrada Família (pre-booked entry at 9:45)
- 11:00–12:30 — ride on through Glòries to the seafront; early lunch at Barceloneta
- 12:30–14:30 — continue to Montjuïc; viewpoints, cable car or Fundació Miró
- 14:30–15:30 — complete the Red loop back to the centre
- 15:30–18:00 — switch to the Blue route at Passeig de Gràcia; Park Güell if you have timed entry, otherwise the Pedralbes–Camp Nou leg
- 18:00–19:00 — ride the Blue loop home before final departures

Timing Is Everything
- Turn up mid-frequency: if a bus just left, that's your cue for a coffee — the next is at most 25 minutes out, usually 10–15.

- Traffic peaks 17:00–19:00 on the Diagonal and around Plaça d'Espanya; loops run slower. Do long rides earlier.
- Sunday is the quietest boarding day at the central stops; Saturday the busiest.
