Quick Summary
Prices checked on 27 July 2026 via the Tiqets API for the official Barcelona Bus Turístic product. Rates are seasonal and can change — the widget above pulls live prices for your travel date.
The headline number for hop on hop off bus Barcelona ticket prices in 2026: the 24-hour adult pass starts at €30.50 online (standard price €33), and the 48-hour pass adds only a small premium. That single price covers both routes, all 44 stops, the audio guide and the discount booklet — there are no fare zones or per-ride charges to think about.
Price Structure: What Determines What You Pay
Four things move the price up or down:
- Duration — 24 or 48 hours of unlimited rides
- Age — adult, child and senior tiers exist; reduced fares appear in the booking calendar once you select a date. Young children ride free on the operator's routes
- Where you buy — online rates run below the on-board price, and promotional discounts (like the current 8% off) apply only online
- Season — the operator adjusts rates a few times a year; summer is the top of the range
Ticket Comparison: Standard, Combos and Alternatives
| Ticket | Price from | Who it suits |
|---|---|---|
| 24-hour bus pass | €30.50 | One intense sightseeing day; cruise stopovers. The default choice. |
| 48-hour bus pass | shown at checkout | Two-day city breaks — the per-day cost drops well below the 24h rate. |
| Bus + eco catamaran | €46 | Adds a 60-minute coastal cruise; cheaper than booking the two separately. Full guide. |
| Bus + Sagrada Família | bundle pricing | The bus doesn't skip attraction queues — this combo adds timed basilica entry. Full guide. |
| Bus + Camp Nou | bundle pricing | Stadium + museum entry with the bus pass. Full guide. |
| Night tour (separate product) | €22 | Guided evening loop in summer; not a hop-on hop-off service. Full guide. |
What's Included in the Ticket Price
- Unlimited boarding on the Red and Blue routes for the validity period — see all stops
- Audio commentary in 16 languages, with headphones provided
- City map handed out on board
- Discount booklet for attractions, shops and restaurants along the route
- Free Wi-Fi on board
Not included: entry to any attraction, hotel pickup, and the separate night tour. Nothing about the ticket skips attraction queues — a common misunderstanding worth repeating.
Online vs On-Board: Where to Buy
You can pay on the bus or at the Plaça de Catalunya kiosk, but there are two reasons not to:
- Money. The current online rate (€30.50) is about 8% under the standard €33 — the discount doesn't apply at the kerb.
- Time. In high season the ticket queue at Plaça de Catalunya moves slower than the bus queue. An online voucher on your phone walks past it entirely.
Online tickets arrive instantly, work on your phone screen, and — booked via Tiqets — can be cancelled or rescheduled free until 23:59 the day before. That removes the classic risk of pre-booking against bad weather.
Timing Is Everything (for Prices Too)
- Activate smart: validity runs on a rolling clock from first boarding. Activate a 24h ticket at 15:00 and it covers the next morning too — effectively two half-days of riding.
- Buy for a date, ride flexible: the ticket is date-bound but the free cancellation window means you can move it if the forecast turns.
- Board early: first buses at 9:00–9:30 are the emptiest — details on the timetable page.
How to Save
- Book online in advance — the single biggest saving, currently 8% off.
- Check the reduced fares. Child and senior tiers are priced separately in the calendar; never pay adult rate for a child.
- Go 48h for two-day stays. The second day costs far less than a second 24h ticket.
- Use the on-board discount booklet — a few visits with it can claw back €10+.
- Consider combos if you were buying the catamaran, Sagrada Família or Camp Nou anyway — bundle pricing beats separate tickets.

How to Get Your Ticket on the Day
Book online, keep the voucher on your phone, and board at any stop — Plaça de Catalunya (Metro L1/L3 Catalunya) is the main terminus with the most frequent departures. Show the voucher to the attendant on first boarding; you'll receive a paper pass for the rest of your validity. Full directions are in the main guide.
